Deep Purple Biography

Deep Purple is a British hard rock group that is considered as one of the pioneers of heavy metal music along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.
Embryo is the creation of Deep Purple Jon Lord who previously played for The Flowerpot Man with his other musicians, Chris Curtis, and a businessman who tried to become a music producer, Tony Edwards. In December 1967, recruit Curtis Ritchie Blackmore who was then trying his fortune in Germany with Neil Christian And The Crusaders.

 



Before in Germany, Blackmore had joined with The Outlaws and Screaming Lord Sutch And The Savages. The song "The Address" and "Mandrake Root" is written on the first meeting of Blackmore and Lord. Soon joined fellow bassist also in The Flowerpot Man Lord, Nick Simper. To fill the position of vocalist and drummer, Lord and Blackmore recruited Rod Evans and Ian Paice. After being named himself as the Roundabout, in March 1968 they officially became Deep Purple.

Before deciding on the name of Deep Purple, Other names that had proposed as the band's name is "Orpheus", "Concrete God", also name "Sugarlump". One morning, Ritchie suggested the name "Deep Purple" because it's the name of her grandmother's favorite song, which is quite popular in the 1920s and became a hit group Steven Nino Tempo And April 1963.
In 1969, the fate Simper and Evans was sacked suddenly by Blackmore, Lord and Paice. Richtie and out of the pub to find a replacement. Finally, he was impressed with two personnel Episode Six, Ian Gillan and Roger Glover.
